What a stellium really means (and when it means nothing)
A stellium is one of the easiest patterns to spot in a birth chart and one of the easiest to over-read. The count alone tells you almost nothing.
Which planets are in it?
A stellium built from the Sun, Moon and Mercury is a real concentration of identity. A stellium built from Uranus, Neptune and Pluto is a generational signature — every person born within a few years of you has something similar, so it describes a cohort, not a character.
Before you call a stellium significant, remove the outer planets and see what is left.
Sign stellium or house stellium?
A stellium in a sign says how; a stellium in a house says where. The house version is usually the more useful of the two in a reading, because it points at an actual arena of life — work, partnership, home — rather than a flavour.

Concentration is capability and blind spot in the same gesture. Four planets in one house means enormous capacity in that department and comparatively thin coverage everywhere else. Name both halves, or the reading becomes flattery.
