PRODUCER NOTE

Cold open. Let the theme bed run four seconds, then duck under the first line. Episode 2 of the Zodiac Series: Taurus.

HOST

Welcome back to ChartCast. I'm Dr. Vera Solano, PhD in the history of science; ISAR CAP certified · Astrology with the receipts on the table., and today we are sitting with The Bull — Taurus, April 20 – May 20. The steadying earth sign. Taurus consolidates what Aries begins, building comfort, value and physical security.

CO-HOST

And we are not doing horoscope-column Taurus today. This is a real chart, calculated from the ephemeris, with the Sun at 15°15' Taurus — so every claim we make has a placement behind it.

HOST

Start with the engine. Taurus is Earth in Fixed mode, ruled by Venus. In this chart that ruler sits in Taurus, in the 10 house — which is where the sign actually does its work.

CO-HOST

Emotionally, the Moon is in Gemini. That is the private weather behind the public temperature: what soothes, what escalates, and what this sign will never admit it needs.

HOST

The rising sign here is Leo, so the first impression is Leo-flavoured even though the core is Taurus. That gap between how someone lands and who they are is where most of the interesting material lives.

CO-HOST

By weight — angularity, aspect count, rulership — the loudest bodies are Sun, Mercury, Jupiter. Those are the recurring themes, the ones that keep coming back no matter what the transits are doing.

HOST

The tightest aspect is Jupiter square Ascendant, orb 0.4 degrees and applying. Tight aspects behave less like traits and more like reflexes.

CO-HOST

The strengths people actually notice: Extraordinary persistence; Grounded practicality; Reliable under pressure.

HOST

And the growth edges, said kindly but said plainly: Resists change; Can be possessive; Slow to forgive. None of that is a verdict. It is where the effort goes.

PRODUCER NOTE

Music swell, four seconds, then out. Keep the close dry — no bed under the call to action.

HOST

That's Taurus. If you want this done for a real birth chart rather than the archetype, run yours on the free calculator and we'll take it from there. PhD in the history of science; ISAR CAP certified · Astrology with the receipts on the table.. Thanks for listening.

Show notes

  • Sun 15°15' Taurus, Moon in Gemini, Leo rising
  • The core: Sun: The Sun sits at 15°15' Taurus in Taurus in the 10th house, ruled by Venus and carried by the Earth element in Fixed mode. The steadying earth sign. Taurus consolidates what Aries begins, building comfort, value and physical security. Where this shows up: patient, sensual, loyal, stubborn.
  • The inner life: Moon: The Moon is at 2°50' Gemini in Gemini in the 10th house — this describes the emotional default, what feels like safety, and how needs get expressed when nobody is watching. Gemini colours that with curious, quick-witted, adaptable.
  • The first impression: Ascendant: Leo rises at 16°52' Leo, so the chart is ruled by Sun. This is the style people meet first — the approach, the pace, the physical manner. The expressive fire sign. Leo turns identity into performance, warmth and creative generosity.
  • Elemental balance: Element counts: Earth 9, Air 8, Fire 1, Water 1. The chart leans Earth. By modality it is Fixed 11, Mutable 6, Cardinal 2, which sets the tempo: how change gets started, held or adapted to.
  • Loudest voices in the chart: By angularity, aspect count and rulership the strongest bodies are Sun, Mercury, Jupiter. These are the themes that keep returning regardless of what else is happening.
